Introduction
I knew from a young age that there was something different about me; it’s a feeling that would happen to me every time I would lead a song with the choir, or when I would be chosen to deliver the Sunday morning message on Youth
Sunday.It was like an out-of-body experience.Something indescribable, one might say, a weird feeling. I would hear from the older officers of the church that
I was going to be a preacher, but that was not in my future so I believed.

I am fortunate to have had strong women in my family who believed in

I accepted the call, and it seems the minute after talking with my pastor, everything changed. I was destined to do what I’m about to do, which is a huge step for me, and yes, it is scary, but I know that God has me in the palm of his hand. Long gone are the days of partying and hanging out. My pastor said God is going to do a quick thing, in other words, in the next 3 to 5 years I will be the pastor of a church. It is destiny, I would not have imagined this would be what he had designed for me, but it is. In His foreknowledge He knew where I would be, and what I would be doing. It is not by happenstance that I am attending
Colorado Christian University, but it is steps that have been divinely ordered.
In preparation for the call to pastor, the Bible says, “to study to show thyself approved, a workman that needeth not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15). I have an everlasting thirst for knowledge. More importantly, I have a thirst for the Word of God. It is a hunger that can only be satisfied by studying His word and learning from others.
