That's the greatness of this country.” America is the land of opportunity and each and every one of its citizens has the chance to pursue the American dream. Many like to believe that the American dream has dwindled and is a thing of the past. There has always been the American dream and there will always be one. The only difference is that every citizen has a different dream they wish to pursue. America is a country that is unlike any other. Not every country is as fortunate as America to have diversity, freedom and endless opportunities available to its citizens citizens. Millions of immigrants have entered this country with hopes of bettering the lives of themselves and their families.. Many left to flee religious persecution, gain greater opportunities than they would have by staying in their home country. The immigrants arrived with absolutely nothing but hope for a better life and great trust in America that it would help lead them to their “white picket fence”.
