What good can come out of failure? Throughout my 19 years of life, I have stumbled upon a significant amount of failures in everyday life. However, people often times have a bad connotation with failure leading to fear of taking risks because of the possibility of failure. Despite the fact of the average population heavily fears failure, with considerable help from my peers I view failure as life's greatest teacher, with possession of a positive attitude you can learn from your mistakes to ensure that you do not make the same mistake again. My dad always told me, “If you learn from your failure, you really haven’t lost.” This statement really defined the way my family and myself approached failure. First off, in Catechism of Catholic Church I came upon a few different aspects in which failure is exemplified throughout tradition in the Catholic Church. In Section two, Chapter one, it states, “You shall love the lord your god with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind”. This quote is revealing to you the significance of love and trust in the lord no matter what situation you stand in. Many “catholics” would get worried in the situation they are in and lose trust in the lord to help them through the situation. However, the lord has a plan for each and everyone. Whenever you are stuck in a tough situation, the lord will always have a reason for everything that happens. Whether you disagree or agree with the result he planned, he has a reason for everything he does. This relates to my question of, what good can come out of failure? By the times you fail, by God always having a plan for you, he wants you to get back up and learn from your failure to decrease the likelihood of it occurring again.
