Introduction Hospitality is defined as the art of receiving a guest, visitors or strangers with goodwill entertain them and make them feel at home (Tesone, 2010). The hospitality industry itself is much bigger, and it includes lodging, theme parks, and cruise line among others. Around the world, the hospitality industry has recorded the fastest growth compared to other industries for the same period. The main reason has been more people have more money to spend, companies are spending more on the employees in entertainment and on the other side it is one of the most lucrative investments filed for many investors. The reason is these are the people who bond with the clients. According to (Caan, 2014) your services are as good as your employees. Hence, ways in which you motivate the employees are crucial. The hospitality industry has been an industry that is heavily affected by seasons, the turnover of employees tends to be so high. The main reason behind this is most of the employees are not on permanent terms but a contract. This means that one of the ways of improving the performance of the employees is having as many employees as possible on permanent terms. Having that the employee cannot afford the services with their salaries like in high-end hotels. Giving them the opportunity will help them feel part of the company and part of its success. The methods of motivation cannot be generalized to everyone since conditions vary. For example, when you motivate employees by giving them permanent jobs that cannot work on those who are already on permanent terms hence you will use another theory. On that scenario, you can concentrate on improving the working environment or working hours. Several continuous programs can be used in improving performance. For instance, offering incentives and giving the employee an opportunity to enjoy the facilities for free like the gym. These theories can always be evaluated from time to time depending on the results observed.
