Happiness is a virtue seen different in everyone’s eyes. Happiness stands for what that person might desire, need or just what makes other happy. A single person cannot define happiness with one word it’s a dynamic which is constantly changing depending on the individuals circumstances, believes, hobbies and so more, Therefore happiness exist whiting humans, it’s a way of living however not everyone has achieves happiness. Ignatius being the man he is an irritating and self center human cannot experience true happiness unless we truly try to understand his mind.
The story revolves around him on how others affect him and how he deals with it. In a serious of event the true nature of ingenious is revealed. For instance the plot isn’t just about a fat man whose ego is bigger than his belly but a sense of what’s right, ethics in American workers in specific in black workers. I n page 142 throught 149 he develops a psychotic development to help the works because their pay is a low 30 a week leading him to find a social cause. Unfortunately ignasious quest fails. In order to actually find a means of justice he decided to lead a revolt. We must leave a sacked and pillaged Levy Pants, we must fight fire with fire," he tells these workers 160. After giving directions to the group of workers waving "fence posts, broomsticks, bicycle chains and bricks" (160), Ignatius is abandoned and the protest fizzles out. His leadership of the revolt is noted and he is fired promptly.
What does all that lead to? The American dream, a dream of leaving in equality. The idea of the American Dream still has truth in today's time and back then. Even if it is wealth, love, or fame. The thing that never changes about the American Dream is that everyone dese...

... however Ignatius is not as awful as everyone would think he defines what society wants in a person what they have taken years to model and sustain. Its as if they imbedded an idea that people need to follow orders and have to get a job and get money and then work for the rest of their live and then die. As if live revolved around work. As if we were robots Ignatius only good side is that he refuses to work and choses to be outside the box. Allowing him to not care not see things like regular people would. I wounder if the story interprets society and how an outsider someone who can understand the power of society deals whit people. How Ignatius would be the part inside people that just wish to rebel and stand up, seeing it from society and people whit power it would be understandable to view it as a character repulsing and utterly humiliating.
