Water is the most important resource on this earth. We use it for drinking, brushing our teeth, taking showers and so much more. Without water our world would be useless and everything would go extinct. In the documentary called Flow: For Love of Water, directed by Irena Salina, it goes in depth on the water crisis that is threatening our earth. It uses ethos, logos and pathos to show the viewers how crucial this problem is to our society. It shows the nitty gritty things that not everyone may be aware about.
By using ethos, this documentary is very informational and gives great evidence and sources. One saying that really stood out to me was one that was by Paul Schwartz, the National Policy Coordinator for the Clean Water Action. …show more content…

Everything that was said either made the viewer sad, scared or angry. This film takes the viewer to the poorest of countires and shows the water they drink and lets the people in said country speak ouit about the water crisis. It shows water wars because off water privatization by the world bank. These are the things that make people want to make a difference. Seeing the children swimming in the murky brown water and letting it flow into their system. Hearing the cries of the people who are having stomach oains and dying of thrist. This film also makes you feel quite dumb in some parts as well. The biggest part that made me feel like a total dingy was when a team took over a fancy resturaunt for the ight and made their own water menun and gave them fanc names. It shows a couple ordering a water with a fancy sounding name, but it actually means “tap water” in French. They also interview a family of young children. The oldest took on the responsibility of caring for the family when their mother dies in September of 2000 because of a water borne disease. She had to care for her large family all on her own They were all unemployed and didn’t go to school. They asked the people in charge of the water how they can drink the water from the river without getting sick and they told them to go to the store and by a tablet that will disinfect the water.
