Christ and the Cross is a false dichotomy that exists in the church today. Many Church leaders today are saying that the Cross is not necessary. They tend to separate the two, but Christians without the Cross is like Christianity without Christ. Which means, there can be no Christianity without the Cross and the Christ of the Cross. Many of them are saying that the Cross should not even been emphasize; that the Cross is a form of idolatry; that the Cross is an inconceivable child abuse; and some of the leaders even have gone to the extreme. While the bible says that “the wages of sin is death”; (Romans 6:23) I immediately remember that God himself paid that debt for all humanity on the cross. In view of, no one can pay the in heritage of sin, therefore, redemption comes through the cross of Christ. The cross is the place where God 's divine mercy and justice shook hands for the first time in the human history. In the cross is where God paid the debt for everyone to come to atonement, to come to redemption, to come to justification, and to come to reconciliation. We can see it in every animal sacrifice, which is the prefiguring of the cross of Christ in the Old Testament demanded by God. God was teaching them that the real lamb was coming. In fact, the prophet Isaiah predicts the cross of Christ; the solution to our spiritual death. So, why does Satan hate the cross so much? Why he’s confusing today’s church leaders?
