People start smoking for many different kinds of reasons. For most people, they start smoking when they are teenagers. During the teenage period, some young people are being rebellious and childish. Furthermore, some teenagers think that smoking cigarettes can help them look more mature. Therefore, they start to smoke cigarettes because they think that smoking cigarettes is cool, and they want their friends to idolize on them. Other people start to smoke cigarettes because of their friends and family members who influence them. Everybody makes different kinds of decisions every day. Therefore, some people might become stressed out and pressured. This is another reason why some people start to smoke, because smoking can help them reduce stress. Also, a part of people start smoking because they are curious. Later on, they are addicted and cannot live without a pack of cigarettes every week. People who do not want to die early should not smoke because there are three significant disadvantages, namely poor health, the adverse physical effects on other people, and high cost of their addiction. If people do not want to be those 400,000 people who die from lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, heart attack, and others, then they should stop smoking cigarettes or never smoke. Moreover, if people do not want their family members or friends die because of smoking air, they should stop smoking. Not only because of those reasons, if people refer to the expensive price of cigarettes and medicine, they should quit smoking because it is not worth it.
