Christian Reflection Paper

God spoke this world into existence and created man in his image. God had given us basic instructions for living within the pages of the bible. In God’s ultimate love for us he sent his Son in the flesh just die for our sins and through him give us eternal life. In this paper we will look at what is God like, humanity, who Jesus is, restoration, an analysis of the Christian faith and a reflection my belief in God.

God is like the ultimate parent who is loving, caring and corrects us when we need it. He is our father in heaven and to some the only father they know. Humans were created in the image of God and created to worship Him. God is the creator of the universe and He created humanity to rule over his creations on earth. Humans were called to “be fruitful and multiply” Genesis 1:28. The root cause of human problems is sin. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23. Sin was to downfall of the first humans Adam and Eve. They were disobedient, liars and blamed someone other than themselves thus, the fall of humanity. Humans have an amazing ability to be good and evil. We are called to love one another yet, our own human nature has us hating one another for our differences. I grew up in the church but, did not truly understand the bible or Christian way of living until I was an adult. I also had grown to believe that I did not need people so when life got hard instead of turning to my church for support I turned inward and tried to solve things. One day in church this bible verse was louder than the rest “for where two or more are gathered in in my name, there am I with them” Mathew 18:20. I knew that was God talking to be. I sought out the pastor’s wife, asked for prayer and joined a women’s bible study. My life has not been the same and I realize my life is not my own. People tell me how different I am or there is something different about you. I am not ashamed to tell people I am a Christian, I talk about Him on social media, and I have bible verses in my cube at work and the license plate frame of my car. Jesus changed my life.

Conclusion

God is the reason why we exist and his grace is sufficient for all of humanity if they chose to believe. Jesus was sent to die for our sins including the sinners who hung on the crosses with Him. The Christian faith does not mean living a perfect life but a life pleasing to God. We are called to have faith as a mustard seed. If we confess our sins we are saved by grace and can look forward to eternal life with our father in heaven. The best thing I ever done was come to Christ and rededicate my life to Christ.
