People tend to take communication lightly and not knowing that speaking to one another is the key to everything in our modern world. I myself use to be one of those people, I thought that using no communication was just using jargon, but I was wrong. I remember watching some of the greatest speakers of all time and was amazed at how they can captured the audience’ attention and the audience can feel the impact of the words. For example, Joel Osteen is a great motivational speaker and as I watch the screen and listen to his message, I feel as if I am in the same stadium as he is. An example is you standing on stage and you are speaking to about seventy five people and you are giving a speech on what the company made this year and how they can improve on their revenue and you, are speaking with a low voice that no one can hear this kind of communicating will make the executives think you do not know what you are talking about when you really do. For example in certain countries in the middle-east speak different types of Arabic. Many of the people live in the same city but speak different dialects so they understand each other but only to an extent.
My public speaking speech assignment was much better than I expected and I delivered my speech quite well. The speech I decided to discuss was my persuasive speech. The topic I selected was budget cuts/child care centers. I selected this speech because it is a priority in this current state and across our nation. The governor of Illinois is making it harder for working parents to get child care for their children.
