You are probably wondering what I am wearing. You may be saying 'there's no way a girl who hasn't been social for six years can attract that kind of male attention.' I am not wearing anything special. In fact, I never wear anything special. I am rocking two year old, baby blue jeans that were once too big, but I grew into them. They have rips on the knees which they didn't come with, but I think they look cool. For a top,I'm wearing a white shirt which has now been turned cream because of how many times it's been washed. Over the shirt I'm wearing a hand me down gray hoodie that is two to three sizes to big. It has tiny ancient stains. To make a big bam wow, I am rocking black, wore out converses. They are in need of a good scrubbing, but hey,it …show more content…
I am having a bad dream. On the count of three I'll open my eyes and the voices will disappear. I'll be in my bed, asleep. One....Two....Three "I know we all hate each other, but you all know that you can't resist proving you are better. That's why you guys are here. That's why- oh hey Amethyst." Says AXE. "Ahhhha." I scream. The sight of five guys in a room I have never seen in my life scares me. I start kicking and panicking. I stand up on top of the bed and instantly kick one of the boys in the chest sending him flying to the floor. I jump onto the floor where I am now shorter than all of them. I punch one in the stomach and he hunches over with a stream of curses. I step onto the foot of another and pinch and punch the last two. With all of them distracted by pain, I run out a open bedroom door and run down the hall not knowing where I am going. Before I can turn the corridor, someone tackles me. "Aren't you my little warrior." He muses lifting us both from the floor."Your kick really hurt my chest and ego,but you are going to have to try a little harder." He chuckles as the rest of them come running down the hallway with angry looks on their
I also don't own the idea, it was requested to me by the wonderful Amanda. Thank you so much! I hope I did this idea justice.
We were all with him. He wasn’t going to do this alone. It was more of a mental fight between us. He tried to seem bigger and stronger, but I simply imitated him, to prove that I as well am big and strong. Then one of the men grabbed me by the collar, and said that he was going to send us home.
The Black Death was one of the most destructive Plagues that faced Europe in Medieval Times. This Plague killed approximately 1/3 of the world’s population and left 1 in every 3 households empty. The Character I will be talking about today, was affected significantly during this disaster as he was a peasant, his name was Charles Brinks, he was from Grange and loved his job. The impact of the Plague for these Peasants was very significant, not only did their social status improve but peasants after the plague were paid at least double what they were before.
Sam and Antonello agreed to meet for a drink at the Vic. When Antonello arrived, Sam was already sitting at a table not the bar; on the table, on his side there was beer, on Antonello’s side a glass of red wine. Sam was bald, what was left of his hair, a rim of short hair, was flecked with grey. He had put on weight, but he was not fat, there was just a hint of a beer belly under the blue Metal Workers Union windcheater. ‘I took a punt – ordered you a red.’
I could start off my story by telling you why Byblos, Lebanon is so important to me. But before that, I want you to know why it is such a memorable place. First of all, the place is pretty goddamn beautiful. I’d be lying if I told you that it's possible to get bored in that huge bastard. The people themselves are a bunch of happy and energetic souls.
Back in Black Back in black I hit the sack I've been too long I'm glad to be back Yes, I'm let loose From the noose That's kept me hanging about I've been looking at the sky 'Cause it's gettin' me high Forget the hearse 'cause I never die
My left foot was on the ground and my right foot was on the side of a stranger’s car, while I waited for Draven to open his car.
I held his neck with my free hand and slid my fingers from his cheek, down his Adam’s apple, to his chest. His hands lingered over my waist, and then locked themselves around me, pulling me tight, closing me in.
Celie believes she has no power or say against her father and the choices he makes for her. Alfonso begins to talk about choosing a husband for Celie because he has grown tired of her and is ready to get rid of her. He says Celie "ain 't fresh" (isn 't a virgin) and that she is “spoiled” Alfonso sees women as objects and once they have been
Yesterday I woke up at 2pm, because my neighbors had a baby and he kept crying all night. I couldn't sleep until he stopped crying and fell asleep, but after I finally fell asleep he started crying again. I don’t want to be mad at him or anything. He is just a baby. But I couldn’t get any sleep because of him.
The old woman sighed, too. She directed her attention to the poor lsplotchy bird still eating in her purse. “Why are you just sitting there?” she finally asked RED. “Because there is no red for me to change.”
I remember when I was five years old. It’s already dusk. The sunset scenery was extremely vivid to my mind. My eyes are steady to the horizon, face aglow with the last orange rays before twilight beckons the stars. I have watched with a steadfast gaze, as the burning red light sank beneath the horizon, the threads of light dawdled in the sky, blending with the rolling heaps of clouds, the cool breeze of the pristine air pass through my innocent body, dyeing the sky orange, then red, and blue until it becomes entirely dark.
Okay, now as I think back, I will admit that it being the first day of middle school I should have put a little effort in my appearance but, who did I have to impress? Weren?t we coming here to learn? If I was going to sit in a classroom for 8 hours a day I needed to be comfortable.
A girl should not have to pretend to be characteristics she thinks the outfit is displaying. The outfit should inspire her to feel confident while making her feel that she has so much to offer the guy she is seeing. A date can create opportunities for experiences. The perfect outfit can be found in the closet of your own home; all it takes is a few helpful hints, a bit of intuition and the cherry on top, confidence. Flash that award winning smile, a lady like yourself is a total package especially now that you have the know-how to compliment those amazing traits.
When discussing the poetic form of dramatic monologue it is rare that it is not associated with and its usage attributed to the poet Robert Browning. Robert Browning has been considered the master of the dramatic monologue. Although some critics are skeptical of his invention of the form, for dramatic monologue is evidenced in poetry preceding Browning, it is believed that his extensive and varied use of the dramatic monologue has significantly contributed to the form and has had an enormous impact on modern poetry. "The dramatic monologues of Robert Browning represent the most significant use of the form in postromantic poetry" (Preminger and Brogan 799). The dramatic monologue as we understand it today "is a lyric poem in which the speaker addresses a silent listener, revealing himself in the context of a dramatic situation" (Murfin 97). "The character is speaking to an identifiable but silent listener at a dramatic moment in the speaker's life. The circumstances surrounding the conversation, one side which we "hear" as the dramatic monologue, are made by clear implication, and an insight into the character of the speaker may result" (Holman and Harmon 152).
