The American Dream The american dream, everyone has a different definition of this concept. However, most of these concepts include the same characteristics. The American dream is not just one idea; however, it is comprised of a variety of philosophies. The American Dream is thought of that legal American citizens have equal opportunities of success and prosperity earned through hard work, involvement in the government, and contributing to this great country. In one’s eyes the American dream should be seen as legal American citizens living a free life but, this does not exclude laws and the authority by any means, one should always abide by a given set of laws. This dream also includes “average joe” citizens participating in their government, politics, and economy. Every citizen should actively participate in those three systems.Another aspect of this dream is that every citizen, minority or not, has an equal opportunity and should contribute in some way, whether it is war or not, to this great and free country. Every legal citizen should be contributing to this country and One woman stated that The American Dream was working at a young age to support their families and get married off quickly to a man that will take care of her and their family. The Dream was also comprised of freedom, not so much for liberty, and the pursuit of happiness at the time. Nowadays, people are all for liberty. Everyone believes that one has the freedom of sex for example. People can either be male, female, or transgender. It is a shame that people do not see the good that God has given them with their characteristics so, people go and make sex changes and attempt to recreate themselves better than the life and body the Lord had already planned for them and recreated a “better” life or body than the one that God had given them. People should be prideful about liberty; however, Americans should not take it to another
