Technology
The Airbus A380 features many new technologies that help the plane in many different ways. First of all, the Airbus A380 is greener, cleaner, quieter, and smarter than other planes. The plane has to technology built into it so that it can essentially fly itself, making itself much smarter than other leading planes in the industry, but very efficient engines allow for the plane to use less fuel, yet fly farther distances which makes the plane much greener, and cleaner than leading industry competitors such as the Boeing 747. Furthermore, the Airbus A380 has reduced noise levels, diminishing another major concern of airports, when they think about such a large plan...

...A380 features the newest and the most technologically advanced materials ever seen used in planes, and that leads to drastic improvements over other jumbo-jets. Many of these factors lead to the planes effectively and usage with many airlines, and although issues have occurred through the usage of the plane. They are all being solved in very innovative ways, again making the A380 the biggest and most successful super-jumbo jet in the world.

In the 1970s, TACA Airlines entered its jet age when it acquired its first jet, A BAC One Eleven. The One Eleven was used between the 1970s and the early 1980s, then later replaced by the Boeing 737-200. Until 1980, TACA Airlines was owned by a Unites States company and was headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana under administration of the Kriete Family of El Salvador. During the 1980s, TACA Airlines made several upgrades to its fleet by substituting older turboprops and the One Eleven airliner for more fuel efficient airliners such as the 737-300 and the 737-400. In the 1990s, TACA Airlines became the principal user and launching customer of the Airbus A320 model in Latin America. The Airbus A320 were substitutes for the aging Boeing 737-200/-300/-400 seri...
...passengers (Fly Air North. 2013). The airline also has one Boeing 737-400, which holds up to 156 passengers. The fleet also includes two Boeing 737-200,with a passenger capacity of 120 seats and five Hawker Siddeley 748 with a passenger capacity from 4 to 40 depending on cargo configuration (Fly Air North, 2013).
...ry long and successful history in the airlines industry, which makes it one of the leading airlines in the world. Also, it provides the most comfortable flights and services to its costumers and employees, which makes it unique.
As of December 31, 2012, it operated a fleet of 127 Airbus A320 aircraft and 53 EMBRAER 190 aircraft.
The Airbus A380 was first put into service on 25th October 2005 flying from Singapore to Sydney. One of the main purposes was to try and gain some of the large-aircraft market that was so heavily dominated by Boeing, especially with the 747. However unlike the Boeing 747, the top deck of the A380 extends the full length of the fuselage meaning there is an extra 40% more floor space [5]. This means the A380 is certified to carry up to 853 passengers in a one-class configuration, although no airliners have chosen this configuration to date. The passenger capacity varies on the aircraft that are currently in service depending on the airline, at the present time Korean Air has the fewest seats at 407 [9]. This is made up of 12 first and 301 economy seats on the lower deck and 94 business class seats on the upper deck. Lufthansa on the other hand has some aircraft with a capacity of 526 [8]. This is achieved by having 420 economy seats on the lower deck, whilst the upper dec...
Barely two years into its operation the no-frills airline, Air Deccan, has grown from one aircraft to 19 and from one daily flight to 123. It has placed a $1.1 billion order with Airbus and will get an aircraft a month for the next 64 months. In its first full year of operation, ending in March, the company flew 1 million passengers and had revenues of $75 million. Projected revenue for this year: $250 million.
Airbus announces the Airbus A380 as “greener, cleaner, quieter, smarter: the A380 is a game changer in terms of aircraft performance, cost efficiency, comfort and sustainable growth” (2012). The A380 is an incredible double-decker aircraft, capable of carrying 400 to 800 passengers per flight, with a range of close to 16.000KM, a wing span of 79.75 meters, measuring 72 meters long and 24 meters high. If we take into account the fact that it has a maximum landing weight of 386 tones and a maximum take-off weight of 560, airports have remodeled, or are going to in the near future, terminals, baggage claim areas, taxiway configuration and maintenance, as well as runway specifications. Most international airports that serve as long-distance hubs can accept the Boeing 747-400, the previous superjumbo that was the biggest aircraft before the A380’s entrance.
The Boeing 737 is one of the most popular aircraft ever produced. Over 7,700 in all variants have been produced, with an additional 11,275 aircraft on order. This makes the 737 the most popular jetliner to date. The 737 has a wide variety of uses, and still remains extremely popular and in high demand. Because it is such a widely mass produced aircraft, it is also a target for constant aerodynamic improvements.

Very large aircraft, which are designed to carry more than 400 passengers over very long routes with superior comfort standards.
The E190 CASM is approximately 12% higher than A320. The E190 RASM is 30% higher than A320. E190 also has significant lower acquisition costs compared to A320. This reduces the financial break-even point for the flight operation. Comparing to other regional jets, E190 also has 34% less fuel consumption and higher utilization (10-11 hours vs. 8 hours/day) while offering more seating capacity allowing Jet Blue to service wider range of destinations. Additionally, E190 and A320 both can be operated interchangeably during peak and off-peak hours depending upon the demand. Also, use of E190 to feed A320 customers improves utilization of existing airport facilities and reduced downtime for crew members. This synergy provided Jet Blue added flexibility and more efficient operation. These are some of the reasons why E190 makes it a more economical strategic choice as it is well aligned with the low cost element part of its business strategy and can continue to provide an advantage over its

In the 1990s, Emirates airlines began to expand its route network to various international destinations including Paris, Rome, Zürich, and Jakarta. With the advancement in aeronautical engineering, long haul flights became more frequent which lead to the airline's route expansion and earned it the name, “finest in the sky”. By 1994, the airline had 4000 employees and netted a profit of about 24 million dollars (The Emirates Story).

.British Airways were the pioneers with the introduction of space beds. To keep the Singapore Airlines to continue be a leader in providing the greatest comfort service to customers, it is our recommendation that Singapore Airline should continue with the installation of the space beds as this will keep them on top of the game with their main competitors. Furthermore, for an airline's long term Business Class customers to be taken seriously, the company should offer the comfort, of either the same value or even higher, to their customers. The drawback of the larger seats (space beds) would decrease the number of seats in the business class area of a jumbo jet from 58 to 50. However, installation of spacebeds ( in long term) will hopefully bring higher income to the Singapore Airlines because of the higher seat utilization.
