Calling and texting. We all do it. Studies show that people use calling just often as texting. For instance many people would most likely say it would depended on the situation if you asked them the question of if they would rather calling or texting. Calling and texting are both very useful and used all the time by many. Children are even learning how to text and call at a very young age. They have their similarities and differences so lets find out if calling or texting is better. Calling is mostly used when you need to contact someone right away. Most teens would say that they would text their friends, whereas adult would call instead. This phenomenon may be happening because adults are more familiar with calling because it is what they grew up with. Texting didn't come out until long after calling was invented. Because of this many older people don't understand how to text so they just always call. Calling is very useful in immediate situations. Now that Snapchat, Instant messaging, Instagram, Vine, and Kik have come out texting is a lot more common and is being used through those apps. People are getting more familiar with texting because it has become so popular, but calling is still commonly used. Another thing is that if a person just wanted to have a friendly conversation they could text because they don't need a response right away. One mother said that she gets anxiety when calling people, that she would rather run two miles than call someone. She also said she was assuming that this would be true for most introverts. So depending one what type of person you are, introvert or extrovert, could show whether you use calling or texting
