Texting or Calling In this paper, I will be debating how texting and calling are different. I will explain why one may be more useful in certain scenarios than the other. Calling would be a better option when you know it is an ok time to talk. Many older people would say that it is easier talking on the phone rather than sending a text message because you can get information immediately. The final reason why calling is a better option is when you text, your message can sometimes be misunderstood due to spelling errors or other typos. If you make a phone call and talk to the person verbally, there is a lower chance that you will be misunderstood. Texting would be a better option when it is quiet and you can silently communicate via text. It would be a great way to communicate if the other person can’t talk on the phone at the moment as well. Texting can be a better option in some cases. When a person is in a quiet place where talking is not appropriate, sending a text with your phone on silent is a better option. For example, when you are at work or school in a meeting or a class it would be inappropriate to call someone and talk to them in the middle of it. Sending a text would be discreet and would not disrupt the meeting or class. Texting is also an option for someone who may need to have an uncomfortable conversation with someone else. For example if someone is mad at you and you feel you want to talk to them you may be scared to go up and talk to them. In this case texting is a good way to apologize to them and say what you want to say without having them walk away or tell you they don’t want to speak to you. I personally like texting more because I don’t really like talking on the phone as sometimes I don’t have that much to say to them and they feel I am being rude by not
