Serial crime refers to any series of two or more related crimes. It can be said that many serial offenders commit crimes of multiple types in the course of a criminal season (Turvey, 2012: 534). Ted Bundy, serial killer and rapist, was one of the most infamous serial killers or criminals of the 20th century. In the 1970s he raped and murdered young women in multiple states that reminded him or looked very similar to a girlfriend that had broken things off with him. He was smart, handsome, educated, and no one expected that he could be capable of these acts. He was politically active and a law student. His childhood is probably the greatest indicator of his psychopathic tendencies. Ted Bundy is perhaps one of the most notorious criminals but also the most frightening. He was born in Vermont in 1946, and was connected to at least 36 murders. Some thought he had committed well over the 36, though. The precious hours before his execution in Florida in 1989, one might think he would tell the truth, but he lied about his childhood saying it was pleasant and that was clearly not the case. …show more content…

She was in her twenties and unmarried, so her deeply religious parents were upset. She went somewhere in Vermont for unwed mothers to give birth and then came back to her parent’s. He was raised by his grandparents and was told that his mother was really his sister, to cover up her shame. His mother was later married to Johnnie Bundy in 1951 and moved him to Washington. “From all appearances, Bundy grew up in a content, working-class family (Bio.com).” Around the age of three, however, he became fascinated with knives. He altered his personality later in life because growing up he was rather shy, but very smart. He did not really get along with other children.
