Born a Killer Does the name Ted Bundy ring a bell? A Handsome smart and conniving young man that’s responsible for about forty murders between 1964 through 1978. Ted (Theodore) Bundy was born November 24, 1946 in Burling, Vermont. Mother Eleanor Cowell was at the stage in her life where she was a single mother that could take care of her child. So she let her parents step in and raise young Theodore. With this happening Theodore grew up believing his birth mother was his sister and his grandparents where his parents. Ted showed very weird interest at a very young age. At the age of 3 he became very fascinated with knifes. (TB Bio) Things started to get fishy when one morning, Ted’s 15-year-old aunt awoke to find him lifting her blankets, slipping butcher knives into the bed beside her. (Newton 30). Once she approached him he didn’t seem to think anything was wrong. He looked up and grinned as if nothing happened. She ran into the kitchen put the knives back and told her mother what happened. No one thought anything of it but she knew something was extremely wrong. While Theodore stayed with his grandparents, Eleanor decided to move to Tacome, Washington for a few years but no alone. It was very tough decision but she wanted young Theodore to tag along things just wouldn't be the same. In 1951, she married a man by the name of Jonnie Bundy and the couple enjoyed life as any couple would and had several children together(TB Bio). Growing up despite good grades in school Ted file was full of notes from his teacher. One of the notes was about his unpredictable temper (Newton 30). When Ted finished high school he was a compulsive masterbator and a night-prowling voyeur (Newton 30). Ted had also been arrested twice on suspicion of b... ... middle of paper ... ... Bundy spent years trying to fight for his life, spending the last couple of years in his life appealing his death sentence. He also tried to keep his case alive by trying to take his case to a high as the U.S. Supreme Court but his case was turned down. He even tried to give more information on case that where unsolved so he could avoid the Florida's electric chair. By now things for him to solve and come clean was too late. Ted had to face the time for the brutal things he did to those young beautiful women even if it kill him. January 24, 1989, Theodore “Ted” Bundy was put to death at 7 a.m. that morning. While Bundy fried under the chair outside crowds praised, set fireworks and even cheered to finally know justice was severed. Families could finally sleep knowing the killer who put so much pain in their lives was now answering to someone beyond this would.
