Technology is changing the world. Programming literacy contributes to society on a larger scale; however, nearly all education institutions lack the courses needed to participate. Technological literacy opens a field of jobs. Technology can be manipulated to create greater ideas such as a computer software. A good number of jobs require technological skills that would work efficiently in a work place, such as communicating with a customer on chat, maintaining an online forum, and organizing a photo gallery taken by a photographer that vends it to a customer. Programming skills should be thought in schools across America in order to prepare students for the upcoming challenges of technology.

Without this type of literacy, people may become oblivious of new information as time travels. Technology can be manipulated in numerous ways such as programming a computer. The fear of technology controlling people’s lives is clearly apparent. Technology such as computers and gaming consoles are thought to be the downfall of humanity. “In ages past, you could walk around town for a whole day without seeing all the people you know. Now, everyone you know is within arm’s reach, taking that certain psychological feeling out of seeing people” (nables, n/a). It is true that technology often places an invisible border between reality and the digital world. But the individual holds responsibility for their own lives as it is not the fault of technology that leads them to their demise.
Some people point out that technology is taking away traditional life, such as writing on a sheet of paper and reading a book. Various people would rather read a social media (Facebook) post than to read a newspaper. “Students have always faced distractions and time-wasters.
