Today, sports have become a major cultural component of daily life all around the world which has led to an explosion of new fans. Although sports fans wield the power to grow and popularize a sport, however they can also be detrimental towards their sport. Whether it's deterring a potential fan from following their team or inciting violence in the stands, the deplorable behavior of various groups of sports fans is destroying the positives that come from sports. Many arenas, stadiums, and sports bars are no longer safe due to the prevalence of violence among sport fans. Understanding the behaviors of the worst sports fans, will assist people in recognizing which fans they should avoid. “Hipster” sports fans are some of the most difficult fans to be around because they discourage new fans from following their sports teams. These fans feel entitled to their team because they have been following the team for a longer period of time. For instance, if a sports teams has a breakout season, “Hipster” fans would alienate the new wave supporters the would follow. Drunk fans are present at every sporting event be it and often ruin the positive atmosphere at sport stadiums. For instance, a drunk fans are often seen harassing and yelling obscenities at opposing players and fans. “Drunk” fans are also a constant nuisance at establishments where sporting events are televised and alcohol is served. For example, brawls have broken out at sports bar and pubs during televised sporting events. “Drunk Fans” have burdened sports with their constant lack of judgement. As problematic as drunk fans can be, this next group of fans risk arrest just to get close and personal towards the athletes which can pose great security
