To create a that service that appeals to baby boomers, 50 years or older, you need to look at what their needs are. The select demographic that is being targeted are those that are not-yet-retired, earning at least $100,000 in professional or high-level corporate careers and work an average of 60 to 80 hours per week. This select group likes to look good, be social and stay healthy. Time is also a big issue for them. In other words, what can I offer this demographic that would hit all the key points above and would make them want to pay me money. This is because you would not be paying bills on things like utilities and rent. It would also prove to be less expensive due to less amount of equipment being needed. Every stylist would be equipped with their own tools. However, we may not need to purchase any styling chairs, because we would be utilizing the chairs already inside the baby boomer clients home. However, there would be some expenses that you would not have if you were not traveling from client to client. For example, the extra expense of gas needed to get to and from each baby boomer's house would not exist if you were in one single location or shop. There will also be the cost of a vehicle for the stylist to drive and the possible cost of detailing it with a promotion for the company.
