What do you value most? Different people value different things. Some care about the money, what they have and where they live. Others value what they have accomplished in life. Other people appreciate their family. People who are polite, honorful, and trustworthy deserve the title MVP or, most valuable player. In the book Surviving Antarctica 5 teenagers, Andrew, Polly, Robert, Billy and Grace, risk their lives going to the South Pole for money. When the kids had just landed in Antarctica, Andrew had staked the ponies near the boat. Robert even told him to stake them by the safety hut. Then the next day the ice around the boat was all chopped up and the ponies had drifted out to sea(195). Even though Andrew had not listened to Robert and the ponies had drifted away, he went out that day and jumped from ice floe to ice floe risking his life, to save the ponies(203). If Andrew had not gone out to save them, they probably would have had to man haul stuff and it would have taken them longer to get anywhere. Despite not listening to Robert, Andrew still deserves MVP. Andrew really deserves MVP because, he went down in a crevasse to save Robert. In chapter 26, Billy asks Andrew if he’ll go down in the crevasse and he says yes, even though he didn’t know if he could but he would try anyways(311). Then in chapter 27, when he’s down there he was bouncing up and down on the ice to free Robert(320). If he had not gone down there Robert probably would have died. That moment shows that Andrew would risk his life for others and that’s MVP
