Numerous individuals gather together in order to watch this game. This gathering creates a more diverse environment for individuals and brings people of all races together. However, it also might impact individuals by creating conflicts depending on who wins or who looses. The Super Bowl also may impact cities because whichever city hosts the Super Bowl gains a lot of money because of the tourists spending. The advertisements during the Super Bowl also impact the society. The costs for the advertisements during the Super Bowl are very high. For a 30 second ad it can cost up to $5 million dollars. When a large group of individuals buy a product and it is branded, it can result in a bandwagon. This issue of bandwagon can also impact me because I might want the product as well, even though it might not even be the best. Moreover, advertisements can impact my future because ‘Super Bowl Sunday’ is becoming so big that many companies would want their product advertised during the game. This may result in greater ROI, the return on investment or it may be a risk for the company. As well, the costs for the Super Bowl will most likely increase in the future and I believe that it will be harder for an ad to be featured during the Super Bowl. Furthermore, this may affect us in the context of this course because since it is the most widely watched show and the viewers increase yearly, there might be more emphasis on it during the course since our course focuses on ‘Sports and Entertainment
