Human are still social, technology just changes how human socialize. Technology is everywhere; it has changed every aspect of human’s lives, the way they read news, listen to their favorite music, buy books, book their holidays, even the way they stay in touch with friends and family. Technology rules everything and most importantly how and why humans communicate, and see the world. In “Alone Together”, Sherry turkle, a psychoanalytical psychologist, discusses how technologies changes the way humans relates to each other. Humans are letting technologies take them places they do not want to go, in search for better relationships. Humans expect more from technologies and less form each other; they are living their own imaginary life in the virtual world, where they are connected through technologies and social media, yet they are far apart from each other. In contrary to turkle, Alison Gopnik, a developmental psychologist, asserts in her article “Possible Worlds: Why Do Children Pretend?”, children are in some ways smarter, more imaginative, more caring and even more conscious then adults are. She argues that soon as a child is born, he or she is living in a two different world, real and imaginary. Gopnik discusses the importance of baby’s early imagination, and ideas about love and morality. The way children play, pretend, and explore are actually part of the most profound and fundamental aspect of human nature. The imagination can help humans change the future; it can help humans consider the alternative ways to solve a problem, which can lead humans to right direction and eventually give them a better life.
