Beowulf
Beowulf is a leader of the Geats, a seafaring tribe in the area around Sweden. He has gained his fame throughout the land as the mightiest warrior, or as the story states “Nor have I seen / a mightier man-at-arms on this earth / than the one standing here: unless I am mistaken, / he is truly noble.” (244-251)Although he resonates as arguably the greatest human warrior that has ever lived, he still retains the characteristics of a static character. In order to be static Beowulf has to be a character whom, according to dictionary.com, “ undergoes little or no innerchange.” This title suits him perfectly because he never has a change of opinion or mindset based off of his new experiences in the story.
