War World I took place during 1914 to 1918. After coming out of the war, the U.S. worried about the influences of German individuals to the American people (O’Malley, n.d.). To Americanize the Germans, Nebraska passed the Siman Act in 1919. The Siman Act prohibited private and public educators from K-8 to teach their content in a foreign language. Robert T.
