A Brave New World connects with a lot with our society today and it’s very interesting that the author wrote about things that are happening to this day that didn't happen in his time period. The book practically predicted how the future would look. I feel the author really knew how so`ciety would have turned out. With his ideas of cloning and media controlling the masses, yeah the guy really knew what he was talking about. He also showed in the book how people wouldn't really be so emotionally connected which I also agree with. I mean with all the technology advances that our society has we are becoming less emotional towards one another and are being more attached to machines then our own family members.

Aldous Huxley lived a very prestigious life (page 3 in the back of A Brave New World), and as he got older he was able to travel and visit the Western Civilization. This caused him to really be concerned with how things were changing. Also he might have got the castes system from living in England and the time period of 1900’s when there were a lot of social classes and different types of social groups. During Aldous Huxley’s time period things were a lot more conservative and people were a lot simpler. There wasn't a lot of technology happening at the time and people really didn't have sex out of marriage. His time period was basically the complete opposite of ours.
Our world today connects so much with the book. Things that were never thought of back during his time period that he wrote in his book is actually happening now. Aldous Huxley wrote about “bokanovskification” a type of human cloning in A Brave New World. Today they are already cloning animals and now they are also trying to clone humans. ...ot more about it then me and she’s way younger. You can’t even turn on the TV without there being a scene with someone “making love”, trust me it’s in almost every horror film. I also agree with Kirsch about Aldous Huxley being wrong about the essentials. I know that there has been a lot more open sexual activity in our generation then Huxley’s but that doesn’t mean the whole world is going crazy and just having sex and taking drugs. Many people still wait on that perfect person and monogamy still does exist. Not all people are driven by frustrated sexual needs. People are still having families and love still does exist. So, I agree Huxley was wrong about that. People have a choice to live a more respectable lifestyle or just choose a different one. Unlike in A Brave New World where people didn’t have any choice to do what they want and was constantly controlled.
