In recent years, much more attention has been paid to the college education. An Increasing number of people hold the opinion that college should give practical training that is beneficial for students ‘career instead of providing “generalist” education, such as science, literature, history, philosophy, art. From my point of view, broad range of knowledge courses is necessary and no one can deny the benefit of those courses.
First and foremost, fundamental theories education plays a pivotal role involving in all fields practically, such as math and science. Theory study provides powerful tools for us to deal with practical problem. For example, Courses such as information technology are characteristic of practice and require certain basic theoretical

In the beginning, there were basic schoolhouses to fulfill the needs of a newly industrialized society. The subjects taught had the sole aim of the student being able to secure a job with the ultimate goal of creating a large enough workforce to fill the new societal needs, creating a stigmatization that any subject that does not help to secure a job is useless. Now that that goal has been met, the bases of classical higher education have been fighting their way into primary education while trying to destroy the previously mentioned stigmatization against non-career-oriented subject matter. Only after hundreds of years, humans as a whole are figuring out that the only subject of education should life and all of its manifestations with no other distractions. Because of this, the main ideas of education should be few, but very important. The ideas taught should be applicable to many scenarios and students should be thoroughly taught their application in life. A...
Think about this: a straight F student with a family that has a sufficient amount of money. This student gets to go to the best college that their family’s money can buy, which will probably go to waste on partying. Now compare that to a straight A student, living in a too-small temporary place, and no way to pay the bills. This student is everything a college could dream of having, and they actually care about their education. Sadly enough, though, they will never go because how can someone possibly go to college when their family cannot even pay the bills? Considering this scenario, should students in temporary living situations with 3.0 GPAs or higher earn free college tuition? I believe that students in these situations with a 3.0 GPA or above should earn free college tuition. I feel that students willing and determined to excel in their education deserve to have equal, if not more, opportunities than anybody else interested in college, no matter what. Students in temporary living situations have financial problems which cause stress for the students; therefore, if given the chance to earn free college tuition, their stress levels would decrease rapidly. It is astonishing how rare it is for students in a poverty situation to have a 3.0 GPA or above, let alone to go to college. I strongly believe that having college paid for would mean so much to them and be such a great accomplishment and reward.
Every year millions of students sign up to take the American College Test program, ACT or the Scholastic Aptitude Test, SAT for college. For a chance to get accepted to a school and for the possibility of scholarships. So for students who do not make the minimum score to go to a university, lose the chances to get a scholarship or even to go to a university. The ACT and SAT have several sections within the test. The two tests predict how well a student will do in college, even though they measure how much the student remembers from his previous classes. The readiness of a student cannot be determined by a test score. When considering a student for admission, a university looks at the student's ACT and SAT scores along with his GPA. The ACT
Teachers are often shamed if they give a student low grade that they believe they don't deserve. Although, if they constantly granted them the score they felt they earned, would they really be benefiting and learning from their mistakes? I believe that if students were praised only when they have accomplished something they have succeeded in, they will then learn from that and try to become better, rather than thinking they've succeeded in that subject and not doing anything to fix the mistakes made.
Should college be a requirement for everyone graduating from high school today? Many people would answer “yes” to that question. This push was ramped up in 2009, when former President Obama proclaimed that “every American will need to get more than a high school diploma” and that “America cannot lead in the 21st century unless we have the best educated, most competitive workforce in the world” (Miller). People have become convinced that an “educated society would make for a stronger society” (Miller). The truth is for many people, college is an impossible dream. High school was not enjoyable for everyone, many jobs do not require a college degree, and finances hinder the ability of many people to further their education. Therefore, it would
As colleges’ funds dry up, colleges must turn to the public to further support higher education. By raising state taxes, colleges can collect funds to help improve the school’s budgets. The state provides funds from the taxes for colleges to receive a certain amount for each student currently enrolled. All community and traditional four year colleges collect these funds in order to maintain the school’s budget. As reporter, Eric Kelderman states, “less than a third of colleges’ budget is based from state taxes”. The school’s budget is how colleges are able to provide academic support programs, an affordable intuition, and hire more counselors. Colleges must now depend on state taxes more than ever for public colleges. Without collecting more funds from state taxes, as author, Scott Carlson explains how Mr. Poshard explains to senators “our public universities are moving quickly toward becoming private universities…affordable only to those who have the economic wherewithal to them” (qtd. in.) Public colleges must be affordable to anyone who wishes to attend. If colleges lack to provide this to students, it can affect dropouts, a student’s ability focus, and cause stress. The problem of lack of funding is that colleges have insufficient funds. Therefore, the best possible solution for the problem of lack of funding would be increasing and collecting more funds from state taxes.

College students deserve to be making money for playing sports. However, people think that they already get rewarded with education, but that is not enough. They deserve to be rewarded, because these students put a lot of their time and hard work into these sports. The schools and sports organizations should not be making a profit, while getting their services free of charge.
Education plays a very important role in a person’s life. Basic education is attained through primary school and high school. Education may be further perused after graduating from high school by attending university. This decision can make a person’s future brighter because, in most cases it is really hard to get a well-paid job and live a stable life without having a bachelor’s degree. However, people who want to peruse higher education must know that although there are similarities, there are also some differences between high school and university in terms of assignments, teachers, and responsibilities.
Many significant questions regarding higher education are in relation to its cost, raising fears that higher education has become unaffordable. Education fee for universities and colleges has continuously grown to become one of the largest expense for most students and parents over the years, especially with the never-ending dramatic tuition fee increases resulting from public funding cuts for education by the federal and state governments. Selingo (para 3) reported that higher education cost definitely has a direct impact on access, thus, the frequent increases in cost are logically of great concern to many, including parents, students, and education policymakers. In other words, this has disadvantaged the poor families, resulting in unequal education opportunities for Americans and putting attainment of higher education in danger of becoming a hereditary privilege rather than a right for all people (Selingo para 6).
Theories provide the foundation for educational practices, and many of them exist. While I consider my personal theory or philosophy of education to be one that is something of an ever-changing conglomerate of ideas, I realize that some of my guiding principals are directly attributed to well a well established theory.
Independent.Leadership.Equality. All of these are three characteristics as to what free university education can provide to citizens.Higher education should be free of charge for the citizens of the United States. In the US the average cost for colleges per year is $8,893. Many middle class and under class people cannot afford such costs. It is true that the government will give you grants but most of the time students never get funding from them (Emmons 3). Most people of today can hardly afford a car let alone the fees and tuition of college. Also, it could provide equality to all people. Allowing everyone an equal opportunity to go to college and make something of themselves. It provides a way for poorer families to break free from their social strata that they have been put into (“This House Believes University Education Should Be Free” 4). This is why it is important to make university education free.In the end citizens of the US would benefit from university free education.
Many succeed people begin with zero or lack of knowledge before they turn into successful persons. The key that change their lives and brought them to success is the perfect education. Perfect educations are important for all people from all generations to achieve their dreams and change their lives in the future. Educations can be divided into two types, which are direct education and indirect education. Direct education is the education that learned at school, involving various subjects and lessons and may using books like Science, Mathematics and English. The purpose is to gain and increase knowledge. Meanwhile, indirect education is the education that exposed about moral values, ethics, attitudes, manners, soft skills and other things that relates to our lives and well being. They can be learned from family, parents and all people for free. Both educations are essential and need to be exposed to citizens in order to provide the citizens with good attitudes and knowledge. However, many people make the money as an excuse to not having education, especially direct education due to the cost that they need to pay. As a result, many people suggest and request that government should provide free education to citizens. From my opinion, government should not provide free education to citizens for several reasons.
...ourse, the strong urge to attend the lectures, the zeal to complete college and finally the ability to perform excellently at the workplace when one gets a job. There should be no influence or obligations by other people or institutions on what to study at the college because, it may not be of your interest that afterwards, may cause discontinue of one’s studies. Therefore, the students should take up the mantle and stand firm on their ability to choose a course that is suitable for their career and lives for it is what will define who they will become in the future.
