The Odyssey is a classic written by Homer during the times of Ancient Greece. The main character, Odysseus, journeys through lands both mythical and real, trying to arrive back home in Ithaca. Additionally, this story had themes of wandering and humanity, inspiring countless later works. Should Odysseus be considered a hero after he returns from his Odyssey? Despite a few character flaws, I personally think that he should. Odysseus can be considered a hero for all of his acts of bravery. However, the fantasy setting and harrowing sense of adventure truly made him and his exploits epic.
