Have you noticed that schools have encouraged using more technology in the classroom? Are schools going to stick with paper and pencil or change to a more modernized way to teach children? Schools all around the world are changing and finding new ways to educate kids. Being able to use more technology enables kids to have a new and interesting way of learning. I believe that kids should be allowed to use more technology in the classroom.
Technology being used more in classrooms can ensure full participation from students. Electronics could help kids become more active and more engaged in their learning environment, especially kids who are shy and never raise their hand. My supporting evidence for this claim is that today’s technology allows kids to work as slow or as fast as they want to. Their work could be altered to help them with things they are having difficulty with. Students learn so much better when they are allowed to work at their own pace and not be rushed to finish schoolwork that they don’t understand. (www.teachhub.com)
Technology is an important part in today’s kids’ lives. Letting technology be used more in school enables kids to connect more and learn better. My two pieces of evidence are that instead of being lectured for hours at a time, letting kids be engaged with computers and tablets is a more healthy and engaging way of learning. Also, it prepares kids for what they will face in the real world, considering that we are in the 21st century.
Technology could also create problems for kids today. For example, kids already are around so much technology everyday. When they get home from school, the first thing that they do is get on a tablet or some other form of electronic. Being on electronics for so many hours at a time can create social issues for children and it’s also unhealthy for kids to be on electronics for a long time. Also, technology being used in class could also become a distraction and lead kids to wander on to sites they shouldn’t be on. If kids are closely monitored, then there wouldn’t be an issue with
