Football is possibly too dangerous of a game for young boys and girls to be playing. I am not talking about all forms of football, but more specifically tackle football. Yes, football may possibly be one of America’s loved sport because of the brutality that it consists of; although I believe that there should be an age where kids should start playing such a horrific game. At the age of ten young boys, and girls, should be worrying about who they are going to be playing with outside at recess. Kids should not have to be worried about their friends having to miss school because of a concussion, or worse him or herself.

Personally, I have experienced my own concussion, so I very well understand from the player’s point of view as to why they do not want to stop. It is honestly the worst thing to sit out and have to watch your teammates and others do something that you love, and you can not do anything about it because then you risk injuring yourself more. It is like having the thing that you love the very most being dangled in front of you but you are tied down to a chair and you can not move, it is agonizing probably worse than the injury that they are healing from. The feeling that you could be helping your team, helping yourself get better at your craft, but you can not is hurtful, depressing almost.
Although the reason that I think that kids should start playing football at an older age is because while they are growing, they should not have anything that could possibly stunt their growth or impede their learning. This will probably never happen because people want their child to be great at a young age around seven or eight, and be great at the age of fifteen. Because that is just the culture that we live.
