The Sherman Antitrust Act of 1890 and the Clayton Antitrust Act of 1914 are two things that work together to help explain and prohibit things that people believe are wrong in the world and definitely hurts peoples and the governments wallets.
The Sherman Antitrust Act was one of the first laws passed by Congress that was made to stop the creation and development of the well known monopolies. The Act was passed on April 8, 1890 by a vote of 51-1 in the senate and a unanimous vote out of 242 in the House of Representatives. On July 2, 1890 the bill was signed into law by the twenty-third President Benjamin Harrison. The Sherman Antitrust act made sure that people in the Federal Government was able to do things to destroy the monopolies formed
