Section Four – Incident Response Checklists
4.1 Introduction
This section contains several checklists for recommended actions to execute to aid in the preparation, response, and recovery efforts during an incident.

4.2 Initial Incident Response Checklist
The following checklist should be adhered to once an incident has been discovered or is suspected at Widgets “R” Us:

The original employee that observed the incident should follow established local emergency procedures and then contact upper management. 0

Once the IR team arrives on the scene, they will investigate and determine if an incident should formally be declared. If an incident is declared, the IR team will notify upper management and the necessary emergency …show more content…

Make a quick note of any injured individuals and contact the appropriate emergency personnel. (If necessary) 0

Begin administering appropriate medical treatment to injured individuals or stabilize if no qualified personnel can provide medical treatment. (If necessary) 0

If the immediate safety of other employees is at risk, evacuate personnel to an appropriate location. 0

Notify the rest of Widgets “R” Us’ staff of the unfolding incident. 0

If possible, clear the immediate area of potential hazards before the IR team arrives. 0

Assist the IR team if requested. 0

4.6.2 After an Incident
Once the immediate incident has been resolved, assist the IR team or IR team leader by giving an updated status of any injured individuals. 0

Continue following the instructions of the IR team or the IR team leader. 0

If possible, assist in the creation of the after-action review. 0

4.6.3 Before an Incident
Review previous incidents to assist
