The second amendment is a great help though. Remember the military will probably be extremely split on this. (Sorry if I'm remembering any of the following information incorrectly but it should be accurate) Bush conducted polls in the mid 2000s within the military finding that around 20% of the military would carry out orders to fire on US civilians. We can assume and flip this number around if we want to be cynical leaving 80% of the US military to be against us if we wish. Now personally seeing how the National Guard operates its likely that many of them would support the theoretical resistance making it a somewhat more even fight. It's important to note that with the second amendment even if you don't want to train civilians (which truthfully many of the gun owners you wouldn't need to teach much other than basic phrases and things such as the NATO phonetic alphabet) the sheer amount of guns and ammo they have would ensure no supply shortages in terms of those items. …show more content…

Making extremely rough estimates from the active personnel the government forces would instantaneously have 1.025 million troops and assuming a 65/35 split with the reserves in favor of the resistance (pure speculation but reasoning being here 35 real hardcore Trump supporters the rest reaching their breaking point, though it would probably be safe to make it more 75/25 or even up to 85/15) the total mobilized force of the government would/could total about 1.155 million troops while the resistance would be left with (assuming all states join in) 936,000 troops (From active duty: 256,000 From reserves: 240,000 From Air and Army guard:
