They only met twice before getting married it seems a bit extreme to love someone that fast. What they thought was love was just them ignoring their problems and covering them up. In the poem “Weird” by Hanson, it describes how people may feel weird about things and what it feels like. This poem directly relates to how Romeo and Juliet are feel during this situation. These two are going through issues of their own and don’t know how to handle them since they’re so young. They feel like nothing is going their way, “Hoping that my luck will change,” (Hanson) so when they met each other they’re “reaching for a hand that can understand someone who feels the same.”
