As human beings, we think about ourselves daily. How we look, What we smell like, and who finds us attractive. We base our perspective of ourselves on what image we portray to others. When you come across an assignment like this one, being asked to write about yourself. Nine out of ten times you tend to think of it as complicated, often asking yourself "Who am I?". As we grow we significantly change, therefore it is not something uncommon to not be able to define oneself. Lately, I like to think of myself as a determined hard worker, somewhat unique, and someone with extreme high self-expectations.

I tend to think growing up in a single-parent home without ever knowing what it is like to want something you cannot have has molded me. It set in my mind that hard work and determination is necessary for success. At sixteen I got my first job in the dietary department of a nursing home with my mother. At seventeen I bought my first car all on my own, with my hard earned money. After that I obtained a love, a need for self-success. I am just another twenty-two-year-old with the "American Dream" in mind. A young woman who 's on a journey to thriving in her determined, hardworking, unique, and high self-expecting ways of life. Trying their best to tell you the only things that they are most sure of about themselves today. I am uncertain about how I will feel next week, tomorrow, or the day after. I do know that I want to break away from the highly built barriers of stereotypes being vocalized, and publicized about this generation. Again I am only human, and from time to time I let others opinions affect my mindset. I can only dream that one day I will look back on life and do nothing more than a simply smile.
