THE FINAL THREE When I heard the news of the tornado warning, I made sure to pick up the phone and warn my friends; Angela and Gigi, who happened to go to the mall without me… It was not even minutes later before I had all of them on the phone telling them to hurry to my house, so we can hide in the basement. It was September 2013, and I was at home by myself. When I told my friends about the warning, they actually thought that I was joking. I made sure to make them come, because if they get swiped out from the tornado, I will literally die… When they came, we gathered everything we would need. He then moves on to Angela, who is sitting on the right of me. “What’s 4 plus 4?” “Eight”, she tells him. Then he moves on to Gigi. “What’s 4 plus 4?” “Eight”, she tells him. “Good! Now on to the harder questions.” He walks away from Gigi slowly, and goes to Karla. “What’s my name?” “Jeffrey?” she tells him with a scared voice. He grabs the thing that he hid behind, which now I see is a bat, and swings it across her face. As she starts screaming and crying at the same time, he moves to James. “What’s my name?” he asks. “I don’t know. You never told us.” James responded. The joker grabs the bat and swings in across his face. He then walks back to that corner. He puts the bat away, and grabs something else from the corner, also putting it behind his back. “New game.” He tells us. “And this time I’m sure that you don’t want to say the wrong answer.” As he walks to me, Gigi tries to see what’s behind him. “In this game, there are going to be 3 people that are going to live. The other 2 are going to a better place. This game is called The Final Three. The people that live will be over with the game. Let’s start easy.” He walks over to me and asks, “What’s 4 plus 4?” I answer “eight.” Then he walks to Angela. “What’s 4 plus 4?” “Eight,” she replies. He then moves on to Gig, and asks her the same question. When he finished with us three, he moved on to Karla. He asks her for her favorite number. “4.” She tells him. “That’s a cool number. Then he walks to James and asks him the same question. “2.”He tells him. “That’s also a good number.” Then he walks in front of us, and just stands there. He grabs what was behind him, and Angela starts screaming. It was a gun. “SHUTUP!” he tells her. She gets quiet really fast.
