During my time at community college, I was at a slight disadvantage compared to the majority of my classmates that had a strong background in programming and math during high school. The high school I attended did not prepare me as much for my intended major. There were not as many clubs and advance placement classes related to the STEM field. Therefore, the only preparation I had related to my major was Precalculus and a web design course. Moreover, the grading system in high school was very different than college. In college, exams are weighted more than assignments and every class requires hours of studying.
