4/19/15 Food trucks are the new movement in this day in age. These trucks are basically huge vehicles that are equipped to prepare and sell food. According to an article on Entrepreneur.com, the food truck industry has an 8.4% growth rate and most have been successful. These food trucks aim for big events like stadiums, parks, local office buildings, and even bus stations. They appear anywhere with constant foot traffic. Instead of finding the perfect location to place a franchise, why not put them on wheels and bring them to each one of those locations. Putting Quizno’s on the mobile track will having a better opportunity of getting out of their debt and turning their company around.

The franchise must lease a building and buy all the proper equipment, dining room furniture, and pay all utilities and multiple employees to start up at a location. If the building is rented or leased, most owners must pay a percentage of sales to the landlord of the property. The trucks wouldn’t have any of these cons. Investing in food trucks would lower costs in every aspect. Buying only limited equipment for the trucks to cook and prepare food, and hiring a max of 4 employees per truck. As well the franchise who own multiple food trucks, it is ideal to have one big warehouse of all their product, produce, and where the preparing foods that will make it easier and faster for the trucks to cook up as the orders come rolling in. Whenever the trucks run low they can always drive back and stock or another franchise truck can take their spot. Finding different companies like NDCP or Sysco, companies that provides product for food service franchises all over the nation. Researching into this these companies and discover which supplier who be a effective and suitable choice in having the same healthy and better quality food for lower costs. Combined with the lower costs products that will be supplied to each franchise, it will not just stop there. Advertising is key to get the word out about the new and improved Quizno’s. Social media is absolutely everywhere. Plus the most appealing part of advertising through social media, it costs very little to put the company out there. Although, the company must follow the notice recent trend of social media website where everyone is hanging out lately. Finding the most foot traffic through these websites will increase the views of the new improved and get the potential customers knowledgeable about Quizno’s and actually know who they are and what they bring to the table.
