Everyone knows that all dogs have similarities, but they also have many differences. Each dog has a certain quality that makes them different. Some are hyper, and others are calm and relaxed. Different breeds may be aggressive or they may have a loving disposition. Each dog has certain abilities, but Pugs, Bulldogs, Beagles, and the Tibetan Spaniel are the best dogs for children.
With a loving disposition and an even temperament Pugs are great for kids. The Pug breed is known to carry themselves with dignity. Pugs are playful and always ready to have fun with you. Pugs get along well with all sorts of animals, even little children who like to run around the house. “The Pug craves affection and is very unhappy if his devotion isn’t reciprocated.” (Pug Britannica School). Though very playful and rambunctious, the Pug is a low-maintenance companion making it easier for older owners. Pugs are sensitive to the tone of your voice, so use a gentle and kind one while talking to them. They are clowns at heart and are bred to be companions. The Pug breed is stronger minded than other dogs and occasionally humans too. “They are good watch dogs, very devoted and are not yappers.” (Pug Britannica School). If not exercised frequently the Pug will get to be overweight. The name Pug comes from the Latin word pugnus, meaning “fist,” a reference to the dogs face. This dog exhibits stability to people of all ages. If you don’t like lots of hair everywhere the Pug is a great choice for you because they do not shed much. Pugs love to have someone to play with them when they can’t go outside.

...they don’t start to feel like they are alone. Small dogs, like the Beagle, are suitable for living in the city or the country. Beagles are known to have a good sense of humor, so be prepared to laugh. Sociable, brave, and intelligent they are determined and watchful. “Beagles are curious and have a tendency to follow their nose.” (Beagle). They are very active indoors and a small yard will be sufficient.
The Tibetan Spaniel is a great dog for children who are lively and energetic. Tibetan Spaniels are bold and they have an independent spirit. “Because of their size, they are better suited for a home with older children who will know how to handle him better and with more care.” (Tibetan Spaniel). Tibetan Spaniels are known for helping people with therapy. Sweet but assertive and are aloof towards strangers. The Tibbies retain their watchdog tendencies to this day.
