People use technology in everyday life. Without phones, they wouldn't be able to call

anyone. Without iPads, children might not be able to check social media or watch Netflix.

Without laptops, workers would not be able to type or research information. Do these electronics

really help everyone in the long run? In some cases yes. In others, not so much. Science fiction

novels often show the pros and cons of technology. In the book Fahrenheit 451, by Ray

Bradbury, technology is a great privilege. Montag, the main character, is surrounded by

technology that can help human life live and become a great society. In the real world

technology is more terrible than healthy. It can be used to do amazing things but we often

misuse the educational
Grievously, “Texting while driving has now surpassed drinking and driving as

the lead cause of death” (Because Texting and Driving Kills). If texting is now worse as drinking

and driving, it should be a wake up call to put phones away while doing activities that involve

our full attention. There is many years ahead of an individual. If people don't text while driving it

could save a young teens life and let them grow up and raise a family. Technology is great if

used in the best possible way but if used the wrong way it could damage your life or even kill

someone. Overall, technology is a great accomplishment for science fiction novels but is awful for the

protection of people around the world. We don't need to get rid of electronics because they are

very helpful tools but should learn to have a steady pace. Technology should improve the way

we live, like in Fahrenheit 451, rather than prevent people from interacting with each other.

Although the cause of technology in Fahrenheit 451 was not always good, most of the

electronics helped people live or showed signs of intellectual growth. Lastly, technology is not

bad by itself, humans have the choice to make it great or dismal. With people using
