Project #2: What I Learned

While completing Project #2 over the past five weeks I have learned a number of lessons from which I can apply to future group work situations. The most notable lessons that I learned from this project are the following: how to be a manager, how to work with others that do not have the same work ethic as myself, and most of all, how to fire someone from the group. Each lesson learned will help me in my future as an engineer; learning how to choose trustworthy hard working individuals as well as being able to manage those said individuals.

Group management has never been one of my strong characteristics, as I feel more comfortable doing grunt work and having personal tasks given to me. Rather than making sure others are staying focused with the tasks I assigned for them. When first starting the project no one was really comfortable with each other, as most of us had just met and were uncertain of what to expect.
