The birth of a child is supposed to be the most joyous time in of a person’s life. However, not all are as lucky as some and have the misfortune of giving birth prematurely, and losing their new baby. In 2014, “the premature birth rate in the United States was about 9.6%.” ( According to World Health Organization “Almost 1 million children die each year due to complications of preterm birth.” Most expectant parents and families are not educated on the risks and difficulties of premature birth, therefore they cannot take the necessary precautions to ensure they have a healthy full term delivery.
