Combat exposure, physical assault, situations you have encountered that may have

made you thought that your life or the peoples around you may be injured, these and many

more instances you have endured can be the start to an horrible disease. The mentioned few

situations above are only the tip of the iceberg for causes of this horrible disease that takes

many of young valuable lives that still have so much potential. Post Traumatic Stress disorder

can not be seen by family or friends if the ill do not want them to see the symptoms, it can be

hidden or covered up for many of years by blanketing the symptoms with excuses, or by just

Triggers usually leave this individual feeling emotionally guilty, numb,

distressed, and in a state of worry. Hyperarousal has been known to be associated with ASD or

Acute Stress Disorder, if symptoms last longer than a couple of weeks than it is known as Post

Traumatic Stress Disorder. Easily startled, always tense, having issues sleeping at night are some

of the many obvious symptoms of hyperarousal.

laptops are all cognitive choices we have to make using our thought process. Post Traumatic

Stress Disorder could affect our thought process tremendously and sometimes unknowingly. The

human brain is like two control systems, one system is the moderate cognitive complex thinking

machine( thinker), and the other one is the hyperarousal emotional-fear system(trigger senstive

system). Triggers of PTSD in the brain hinders and clogs up the thought process, it is an entry

point for fear to enter the decision making process and hinder what some would call a “easy

Avoidance is not to be

looked down on due to the fact that the indvidual avoids the situation at all cost, any of these

traits can hinder adn limit the production or success of task and missions. In the avaition business

our thought and judgmnet process is the key element from preventing mishaps and injuries.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is not preventable. This defect is caused by our mental

system reseting to its orignal settings after a life altering event takes place in an indviduals life. A

situation does not have to threaten the indviduals life, but may impact the lives around them

causing the image to be permantly ingraved into thier mindset. PTSD symptoms are not always

apparent and that fact alone can take so much out of the indvidual mentally and physically. Post

tramatic Stress Disorder effects so many lifes and the industry looses so many hours of
