It is mainly caused by the release of greenhouse gases and deforestation is also contributing to the warming of our earth. Global warming is already starting to kick in, crops are beginning to dry out and weather patterns are changing, while global warming could also cause many people and big companies to struggle financially. People should be made aware of this problem and we should try avoid using fossil fuels.
Such consequences include our planet getting hotter, melting of large glaciers, wildlife suffering or even the inverse effect which could trigger an ice age. With that, we should take global warming step by step and educate people about it because most people do not even know what it is or that there is a problem. Our earth is protected by a large ozone (o3) layer in the atmosphere which deflects life threatening UV rays that are given off by the sun. Without this layer we wouldn't be able to exist as an ecosystem and all life would go extinct. "Greenhouse gases, which have built up to unnaturally high levels in the atmosphere, trap heat.
Carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane and nitrous oxide are the most common greenhouse gasses. Greenhouse gases cause the radiant heat of the sun to be trapped in the Earths lower atmosphere which causes global warming. If there weren’t any greenhouse gasses, the earth would be really cold due to very little sun rays being absorbed on the earth. Global warming can and will lead to several problems that affect the environment in which we humans live in. These problems can lead to warmer temperatures all around the world, it can endanger animals and the wildlife, and it can lead to widespread flooding from the glaciers melting.
The way greenhouse gasses effects the environment is they turn the shorter radiation that is easily absorbed into the ozone layer into longer radiation. This change to longer radiation makes it harder to absorb causing the heat to get trapped between the ozone and the earth. Although, there’re some positive effects of global warming there’re far more negative effects of global warming on the world. 1) The extra heat from the greenhouse gasses would cause the polar caps in the north and the South Pole to melt. Which would cause devastating effects on the wildlife that call the ice caps
The only reflector is the ocean if the ice caps melt. This is a problem because darker colors absorb sunlight, therefore warming the Earth even more. Although some areas of Earth will become wetter due to global warming, other areas will suffer serious droughts and heat waves. Droughts are expected in Europe, but Africa will receive the worst effects. Water is already very scare in Africa, and according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, global warming will worsen the conditions and could lead to war and conflicts.
The heat from global warming will also cause pests to multiply fast which will also lead to less crops. Global warming will also make water difficult to give to livestock which will cause dehydration and mass death in livestock population. There will also be an Increase of water temperature harming fisheries and wild seafood population. These impacts can threaten human health through malnutrition, food poisoning, and diseases. There is concern that climate change will have very negative affect on human life and the environment.
The gradual warming of temperatures doesn’t just effect us though, there are numerous other plants and animals that will be threatened, or even pushed to extinction due to these changes. I believe it is our duty to fix the problem that we created, but it is more easily said than done. Megablazes, droughts, or even species extinction due to human stubbornness is unacceptable. Although climate change is a gradual issue, the factors that contribute to it need to be managed right away. Again, Global warming is caused by UV radiation reflecting between the ozone layer and the earth.
Some of the effects that global warming might causes are floods, melting the ice caps, and hurricanes. The increase in the temperature is melting the ice caps on the North and South Pole, and increase the water level in the planet. Many cities ... ... middle of paper ... ...ff, we can exchange it with electric trains. Trains that work with electricity can be useful to transport people and stuff. Global warming can harm the planet seriously and effect the way we live.
Benefits and harms should be measured before making any conclusion. Anyhow, there is no doubt that carbon is mostly affecting the heat level of atmosphere. Human releasing emissions are root cause of this. Carbon is also causing acidification in oceans and less oxygen to the sea life. Till now climate changes has created many unfavorable and drastic events on earth so there should be a debate between the scientists of different views and solutions should be ruled out to reach the goal of making our environment healthy for centuries to come.
Global warming is the increase in the Earth's average surface temperature from an increase of greenhouse gases (primarily Carbon Dioxide) in the atmosphere. These extra gases act as a blanket, trapping in radiation received from the sun and warming the Earth's surface. This effect can be brought on from a number of different sources. The burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, volcanic eruptions, and the decomposition of organic materials are only a few of the ways that extra greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere causing what is known to the general public as the "Greenhouse Effect". One may ask how the Greenhouse Effect is so detrimental to the environment.
