I loved the movie the Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. It is the first movie in the Pirates of the Caribbean series. It is amazing because of the catchy music, the suspense in the action, and the overall storyline of the movie. The movie is about a pirate named Jack Sparrow who used to be the captain of the ship called “Black Pearl.” It is known as the fastest ship that sails the seas. Jack Sparrow’s mission is to find the ship and become captain again but little did he know he would not be on the adventure by himself after he landed in Port Royal. Port Royal is a British island where a girl named Elizabeth Swan, and a boy named Will Turner live. Elizabeth get’s taken by the crew of the Black Pearl after she dropped a rare medallion into the water which summoned the ship. Elizabeth’s disappearance made Jack and Will join each other to try to find Elizabeth. The catchy music makes you want to sing along and sing the sounds of the music. One good song that you can hear during some intense action is “The Medallion Calls.” The song has a mood that sounds intense and it sounds like battle music. It has that catchy music that really draws in attention, and is the kind of music that makes everyone remember the movie when they hear that song. The action is intense and I personally like the action as it keeps you awake, and your heart racing. That feeling is what keeps you attached into the movie. A partnership develops between them; raw talent soons matures into a lean, fighting machine. When the world champion, ‘Pretty Ricky’ Conlan, challenges Creed because of his father’s extensive legacy, Adonis sets out to prove that he isn’t in his father’s shadow. Skill, strength and stamina are qualities he sets to prove he has, that he is more than another famous name.

Director Steven Spielberg, uses specific dialogue to show how his characters are feeling and their emotions. He uses many different kinds of techniques to build up fear and suspense. Such as his use of music, camera angles, and showing the power of the creature.
Gone with the Wind is a classic fictional love story that depicts life in the old south before, during and after the Civil war. The book was originally written in 1936 by Margret Mitchell, the movie adaptation was released in 1939, directed by Victor Fleming, and staring Clark Gable and Vivian Leigh. Ms. Mitchell grew up listening to Civil war stories from confederate veterans. It was reported that they told her everything; everything that is, except that they had lost the war, she found that out when she was 10 years old. Though the book was written 71 years after the Civil War ended, Ms. Mitchell did her research and appears to have drawn inspiration from those childhood stories that she was told. This is apparent in the detailed description of the clothing, houses, and everyday discussions and interactions of the characters throughout the book. Though not all historically correct most of what is in the book is accurate. During the time the movie was released, “damn” was considered to be vulgar and controversial and they used the term “darkies” to describe the slaves.
The Mission: Impossible theme has been around since 1966, it was used for the TV show Mission Impossible. Since then it has been covered by numerous artists, and remade by Larry Mullen, Jr and Adam Clayton from the famous rock band U2 to use in the soundtrack to the Mission: Impossible movies. It’s one of the most recognizable soundtracks pieces in movie history. The Mission: Impossible theme was originally composed by Lalo Schifrin, he has written over 100 pieces for other soundtracks, he is 83 years old. When it was first released it peaked No. 41 on the Billboard Hot 100, and when the remade version came out it peaked No. 7.

Jaws is a really movie about a lot of suspense. The reason I think that Jaws is a really good movie about building suspense is because of three main things. One of the things that has a lot of suspense is Sound. When Jaws, well the shark is under water and is about to attack something or someone the music starts getting loud. Another thing that is really good about building suspense is the Camera Angle. The reason I think the camera angle is good about building suspense is when the camera is on the boat and it's going with the waves it feels like you're really there. The last thing that really draws my attention in the movie that builds suspense is the picture. The reason that the this really draws my attention is because in the film when something bad or a big part of the movie is about to happen the lighting in the movie also makes it feel like you are really there are have a part of what's actually going on.
The CD hit number one on Billboard charts almost immediately. This album reminds me of my childhood because I watched the movie over and over. All of the songs have a magical feeling to them. The orchestra in the background of the songs is absolutely beautiful. Some of the songs are just the orchestra and it's amazing that you can tell exactly what emotion is happening in the movie without seeing it. The Truth Behind: Atlantis Documentary focuses on both supporting and debunking the existence of Atlantis at either the Bahamas, Crete, Knossos, or Thera/Santorini. Throughout this paper I will be deliberating how archeology works at these stated sites, how archeology impacts society as a whole in the context of Atlantis in regards to the modern day fascination and obsession with this seeming mystery, and how archaeological knowledge is acquired and conveyed at the site in order to substantiate certain theories about the past location or Atlantis. Overall, the score was beautiful and appropriate, adding suspense and mystery at all the right times. The sound effects added psychological flavor to the story without drawing too much attention to it.
One notable difference between William Shakespeare’s The Tempest and Julie Taymor’s film version of the play is the altered scenes that made quite a difference between the play and the movie version. This difference has the effects of creating a different point of view by altering the scenes affected the movie and how Taymor felt was necessary by either by keeping or deleting certain parts from the play. There are thousands of movie composers in the music industry, a few who triumph and whose work is well known to almost half of the world. One example of that can be the famous Maestro John Williams. John Williams is the musician for Jaws, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, E.T and lots more. But there is a piece which everyone recognizes, and that is the theme from the movie Jaws. Imagine Jaws without the music. People would not feel scared; they would laugh at the plastic shark. And that is why music is one of the most important elements in cinema. John Williams in a late interview said this: “The music is part of a whole, which if I try as a composer to take that part of the whole, like in a concerto. I would not succeed, because the attention would go only for the music and not for the picture” (John Williams Interview). In Jaws, the music blends with the picture and acting; there are no imbalances. The picture and the music need to be in perfect harmony. Therefore, in Jaws, every time the daring melody comes out; the audience knows something bad is going to happen, and the music may anticipate a particular situation, but without the music overpowering the actors and sound effects.
