耀耀 you ever felt the pride of shooting and making a soccer ball fill the top corner of the net? Soccer is a very exciting sport. But much of soccer’s excitement comes from the curving and twisting of the soccer ball by the world’s greatest players. How do Messi, Ronaldo, and Dempsey kick a soccer ball that rises and curves over the heads of defenders at the same time landing into the net? The geometry of goal scoring is the subject of my report. I will test, analyze, and reveal how a soccer ball can cut through the air at interesting angles and speeds. When you put spin on the ball the wind will take a different pattern around the ball go right, left, up, or down. This also happens when a pitcher puts spin on the baseball.
