Many individuals do not understand the importance of having flexibility of the spine until they experience back pain. This issue with the spinal column can lead to greater health problems, such as trigger points that can result in hindering your quality of life. Fortunately, foam rolling combined with yoga can offer sufferers relief. What is Foam Rolling? A Foam Roll is a therapeutic piece of equipment that is used to promote soft and deep massage of the muscles and their fascia, which are fibrous bands that holds everything in the body in place. It is shaped like a cylinder and it is made of compacted foam. The individual uses the weight of their body to roll against the surface, creating a simulation of a massage to the affected area
A Chiropractor mainly focus on the proper alignment of the spinal area, and they also focus on the nervous system. On a typical day, Chiropractors usually see about 30 to 40 patients every day. When a patient comes in the office, the patients are walked to intersegmental traction table, which is table that mobilizes the spine to make it easier to access for the chiropractor. The patient would lay on the table for around 7-15 minutes, then walk into the doctor’s office. In his office, the patient would say where they have been feeling the pain for the past days, and the Chiropractor would record that and he would start to adjust her. What the chiropractor would need to know is where the patient feels the pain. Then he would need to check all of the x-rays and check for misalignment of the spine and diseases in the spine. Then he would adjust the patients in the need areas, then they would see the secretary to schedule there next appointment and make payments for that day.

I have always aspired to be a chiropractor. Chiropractors treat patients with health problems of the neuromusculoskeletal system including the nerves, bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons. They use spinal adjustments as well as manipulation, usually on the neck back (“Summary”). I chose to go down the path of chiropractic practice because I have always been interested in it. It is important to understand the education and training requirements, skills and talents needed, salary and benefits offered, and the duties while making your career choice a chiropractor.
Cupping is a practice, where a cup made of glass, metal, silicone, or bamboo is placed on the skin as a suction device to pull the superficial muscle layer upwards to increase the blood flow, which helps in relieving pain, stiff muscles, and fatigue. Suction is achieved as a result of the vacuum created by the application of heat inside the cup or by a mechanical pump. Many cups are placed simultaneously and left on the skin for about 5 to15 minutes. Some therapists may also use herbal oils to glide the cups around. Cupping works similar to Acupuncture, targeting painful body parts by application of pressure.
Chronic lower back pain is a major health disorder in the world today (Mendelson, Selwood, Kranz, Loh, Kidson, Scott, 1983). It can cause many physical, mental, and emotional problems on the victim (Mendelson, Selwood, Kranz, Loh, Kidson, Scott, 1983). Many people find their work so unbearably painful that they often have to stay home. Others experience depression, inactivity, and social isolation (Kaplan, Sallis, Patterson). Treatments range from the conventional methods such as medication and surgery to the alternative or unconventional methods such as acupuncture. However, only a small percentage of low back pain patients have the type of condition for which surgery can be used so acupuncture is becoming more popular (Lehmann, Russell, Spratt, 1983).
Next we will look at some trigger point therapy techniques that can help relieve low to mid back pain. To understand trigger point therapy it is important to take a look at the work of Dr. Janet Travell. Trigger points are thought to be caused by muscular overload. An overload does not necessarily mean that the individual has been performing heavy mechanical tasks. In this case muscular overload is a result of stimulatory overload of the neuromuscular junction within the muscle itself. Or more simply put an over stimulation of the nervous system which may be the result of intense physical activity, prolonged sleep posture or biochemical factors including the foods we eat and medications
Posture Correction – Poor posture is a major issue involved in back pain. Poor posture is also unattractive and unhealthy to the body. Good posture helps the body maintain balance and stay aligned. Inversion therapy helps to realign your spine so you can enjoy the health benefits of good
There is suggested evidence that a number of anatomical structures such as, bones, intervertebral discs, muscles, ligaments, joints and neural structures cause back pain (Hoy, Brooks, Blyth & Buchbinder, 2010). Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) is a condition that is believed to cause chronic back pain (Weiner & Nordin, 2010). It occurs when there is an extrusion of disc material into the surrounding tissue (Weiner & Nordin, 2010). It is also suggested that abnormal stress of the ligaments, muscles and mechanoreceptors contribute to back pain (Weiner & Nordin, 2010). The main cause of chronic back pain has not been identified, but there are many suggested issues that are believed to contribute to chronic back pain.

...tured differently than a normal spine because the ligaments in the spine are more flexible; therefore, this allows the back to bend. Contortionists are also prone to injuries such as, limbus fractures, arthritis, dextroscoliosis, osteophytes, disc bulges, and annular tears. If contortionists did not have some of these injuries, we would not be able to enjoy this incredible and unusual art.
Paper Airplanes, flight at its simplest for humans. As kids, we learned how to build paper airplanes and send them soaring into the sky. We didn't stop to think about why the airplanes where able to fly after the initial thrust we gave them or how they were able to glide for so long afterwards. Ignorance was bliss then, but now we strive to understand how things work. Looking back to the childhood past time of flying paper airplanes, I will try to explain some of the parts that make paper airplanes fly.
Mostly made from plastic and fabric, however, wooden and steel versions are also available. You can put them under the bed and push in or pull out. Plastic and fabric units usually have a handle. Whereas, wooden and steel units have wheels for dragging.
Many people who have back pain spend a lot of time sitting at a computer or driving a car, because you are always sitting in the same position; a position that does not improve your posture or health. That can cause tightness and spinal compression, which you can slowly and gradually address with yoga.
