My best friend in high school, she was in a relationship with a guy, who happens to be my best guy friend, since our freshmen year and was dating him till our Junior year, they were inseparable and were voted as the Class of 2016 cutest couple for 3 years in a row. They were perfect for each other, even her strict serious scary parents approved of it. It happened so fast though, all of sudden, they both started being distant from one another. She was being depressed and grouchy, which is unusual. I asked her what happened and she acted like I didn’t ask her anything, I was hurt cause she was like older sister. You know why? Because the idea of love sickens me, it’s not magical; it’s more like torture. The he/she you meet isn’t your other half, cause you clearly have dated people in the past and most probably thought along those same lines, or will date people in the future and obviously state those same lines. It’s like you are living in a movie. Wake up! It’s not a dream, this is reality, for Lord sakes. If he/she was your other half, why break off the relationship then? Oh maybe it’s cause I don’t know, he/she isn’t your other half. Love brings you pain, your ideology of love most probably means peace, happiness and being treated like royalty, but be realistic, it doesn’t work like that! Love brings pain. It brings too much pain into our lives for no reason, why do we have to live our life without our partner we love so dearly? Why do we have to watch them die right in front of our eyes? Why do we have to fight frequently with our loved one? You know why? Because life is unpredictable, life is bipolar, it creates these scenarios that bring us joy or pain and various other emotions.
