Immigration is a current controversial topic in the United States. It is an area that has received a lot of media and politics, especially from our most recent presidential election. It is a movement that is driven by hate and it is disgusting. Arizona’s law enabling racial profiling on the premise of reasonable suspicion only fuels the fire with more hate. While being ignorant is also a problem for immigration issues. Only months ago, there was an influx of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Specifically, in South Georgia President Donald Trump went beyond only deporting criminals but anyone Immigration and Customs Enforcement came across that were illegal immigrants. To this day there are people who keep a blind eye to the fact that all illegal immigrants are suffering from this movement not just Criminals. Additional to this is that fear is a big pawn in the political system. However, when Illegal immigrants do work, they do not get income taxes come tax season, they do not get government benefits, and they do not have health insurance. Therefore, every doctor visit is out of pocket and its physical impacts are hard to overcome. Along with this is the medicine needed to treat any illness or disease which can easily be close to 500 for one prescription. This leaves a constant fear and stress within families whenever unexpected medical issues arise. This is not because they are worried about how they will pay their bill, but sadly how are they going to get treatment in the first place.
