The Bible is the word of God and we should read and follow it. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16, NIV) I believe that we are all sinners and the only way to receive eternal life is receiving Jesus as our personal Savior. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16, NIV) As a Christian, I will face many trials but loving, trusting, and believing in God he will get me through them. “Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love him.” (James 1:12,
He is known as the one who has come to save the Christians and to guide them to heaven. He is also known as the one to lead them to God “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me (John 14,6).” This quote Jesus had proclaimed himself for he was the one who opened the gates to heaven so that Christians may enter heaven. Also, Jesus had died for our sins so that if we followed in his footsteps we may be able to obtain salvation just like he did. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3,16).” In Christianity, we can see throughout the bible especially in the new testament that Jesus recited parables that helped us to understand what heaven was like and how to achieve it.
Jesus mentions that Christians are to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. However, salt without saltiness is worthless; hence, Christians without spiritual knowledge won’t get far in life. Christ motivates Christians to stand out by being loving, kind, compassionate; a reflection of Jesus so that unbelievers are eager to become Christians as well (New International Version, Matt.5:13-17). Additionally, he mentions the consequences of murder, adultery, and divorce. He talks about the sincerity of oaths and the importance of loving your enemies and giving to the poor.
He got mad, and lost his spot that he once held. “Arms to try what may be regained in Heav’n” (1: 270) These followers want to plot revenge by corrupting the human race and turning them against our lord. They use the two human’s god created, Adam and Eve, to do this deed with. Because of this, we will always have to deal with the anger and jealousy Satan creates. Throughout this story, there is a prominent motivation to get revenge against god because he chose his son against the highest angel being Satan.
Once Grendel lost faith in humans, he was forced to kill as he was disappointed and disgusted by their actions. With the lies of the Shaper, their murderous ways, and flawed beliefs, he has turned too far away from goodness and believed the only way to fulfill his life is to kill the ones who confuse him. This showed the complexity of Grendel as in Beowulf, the attacks by Grendel were seen as pointless acts of violence and evil when in reality the humans had pushed him to this point. One main reason for his violence was his constant fight with his belief of human religion. He was constantly questioning why God made him an evil creature and tested humans and their belief through violence.
One of those is an adversary. The dictionary tells us that an adversary is one’s opponent in a contest, conflict or dispute. I believe that Satan is in constant conflict with God. We read in Luke 8:12 that, “the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved” (NIV). He wants what God has and will do everything in his power to tempt God’s people to come to his way of thinking.
The second is this: you shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.” Everywhere that the Messiah went he preached about love. He was accepting and opens his arms to all. The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is significant to Christians because through it mankind is save; “the resurrection establishes Jesus’ lordship and deity, as well as guaranteeing the salvation of sinners…the
e. He knows that if he destroys the family, preachers, deacons, and elders will not be available to serve in the church. f. Satan will try to destroy whatever is very good, and families are “very good” (Genesis 1:31). B. Let us open our eyes and see what Satan is trying to do. C. Sadly to say, many families are not aware of what he is trying to do.
(words 118) Practical Application of Demons Demons do exist and are walking the earth trying to destroy Gods children. And as followers of Jesus Christ we have to keep in mind that Satan is here and his man purpose is to capture the weak. “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6: 10-8, KJV). As children of God we know that Satan does exist. According to Etzel, Satan will not stop trying to attack the believers of God so that he can make a statement that to God his believers are not worthy of his grace (2015) (206).
Jesus came down to Earth from heaven even though he did not have to and died for every single person’s sins. The Gospel deepens our Christian faith and life in numerous ways. The Gospel offers instruction on how to live righteously, guides us to who we are destined to be, gives us teaching on how we can share Christ with others, and teaches us to pray and grow our relationship with Christ. In NT Wrights explanation of what is the Gospel, he explains that the world and culture is constantly changing. He is saying in order to understand the truths of the world; we must personally go seek for them.
